Salt Dough Frame Ornament DIY
INSTRUCTIONS:
Make the Salt Dough
Combine flour, salt, and water in a mixing bowl. Use a spoon or your hands to knead the mixture until you form a firm dough.
Shape and Bake
Roll out the dough and use cookie cutters to create your desired shapes, or go freehand with a knife for unique designs! For a frame effect, carefully cut a small square in the center of each shape or use a smaller cookie cutter. If you’re planning to make ornaments, use a piping tip or knife to add a hole at the top for hanging. Place shapes on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 200°F for 2-3 hours until they’re fully hardened. Cool them on a rack afterward to ensure they’re dry.
Print Your Photos

Decorate and Assemble
Now comes the fun part! Get creative with your frames by adding glitter, paint, or any other decorations you like. Once decorated, trim your photos to size and attach them to card stock or photo paper for a sturdy backing. Glue the photo-backed card stock to the back of each frame.
Add Finishing Touches
Thread a ribbon through the hole to make a loop to create ornaments. Voilà—beautiful, DIY frame ornaments!
