How I Caught Up on Printing My Photos

The start of the year has always been a time for me to evaluate things like extra clutter I need to get rid of and tasks I need to catch up on. A big one for me this year is getting back on track with printing my photos. When life gets busy, this is a task that starts to fall behind and quickly snowballs into a HUGE, sometimes daunting task. Do you feel that way too?

Stay with me and keep reading on how I managed to get caught up on printing my photos and how I now stay consistent with it. I will tell you this, it can be scary starting but feels SO GOOD when you get it done.

Where I Started

Nobody is perfect, right? Well even I had to get out the last set of photos I printed to see where I left off... its been a while so I could not remember! That is the first step. Evaluate what is missing and where you need to start. Starting at the beginning? That is okay! We all have to start somewhere. I had about 4- 5 months without photos.

Now I know where to begin. In my camera roll, I scrolled back to where those missing months begin and select the photos I love the most. Once my favorites are selected, I add them to a new album within my camera roll and title it “to print”, for organization and clarity on which photos I just picked. ;) Then, I evaluate those photos in the album again. I have the same problem as you, I over choose photos and end up with so many images in this album. But that is okay! Here is where you get picky!

I then remove the photos that are not “key memory photos.” By that I mean images that are truly important. I don’t really need 3 selfie photos of me and my husband that show nothing about what we were doing or where we were. I pick one photo that best shows the people or the memory I want to keep.

How I Printed Them

Would you believe me if I said uploading and printing is the easiest part of this whole thing? I use the Persnickety Box app to print my photos because it is quick, consistent, and come in keepsake boxes so the organizing is already done when they arrive! I closed a box of 30 photos for every month. (I only had 3 boxes open and available to use in the app, so I added on a few extra boxes by tapping “+ add a box”). It is a GAME CHANGER when it comes to printing. Swiping my photos and ordering them took maybe 8 minutes for 5 months of photos! I want you to try it out yourself and see what I am talking you about! (There is an awesome discount code at the end to help you get started with Persnickety Box too!)

Once my boxes of photos came, I took 10 minutes filling out the box with all the details around each month of photos to help me remember a little bit more. Now, I am all caught up! If you have been wanting to get your photos printed, I highly recommend printing with Persnickety Box because it makes the whole process fast and pain free.

Staying Caught Up

Now, staying caught up really isn’t too hard once you’re in the groove. The Persnickety Box app reminds me when a new box opens, (1 per month) and I take 2 minutes to swipe through my month’s photos. Then, I’m done! Easy peasy!
